AIM OF THE SCHEME

“Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan” is aimed to support women SHG (Self Help Group) members to become Rural Micro - Entrepreneurs/ Lakhpati Baideu and facilitate them to earn an annual income of minimum Rs.1.00 Lakh through financial assistance as Grant in-aid in the form of Entrepreneurship Fund.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SCHEME IN PHASES

i. All eligible members of the SHGs under Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission of P&RD Department will be provided a grant-in-aid of Rs.10,000 per member as Entrepreneurship Fund in the first phase.
ii. Second and third phase will be notified in due course of time.

Eligibility Criteria

For Entrepreneurship Fund (seed capital), the beneficiaries will be selected as per the criteria mentioned below:

Active Member

She must be an active member of the SHGs promoted under ASRLM.

Aadhaar seeded SBA

She must have a valid and operational/active Aadhaar seeded Savings Bank Account. If not, she can open the account before applying for the scheme

NOT be a defaulter

She should NOT be a defaulter of the SHG of which she is a member, Federations, Banks, Financial Institutions etc. Those who have availed a loan from micro-finance institution before 2021 will not be deemed a defaulter.

Business Plan

She should have a Business Plan for her activity/enterprise

Activity

She must be involved in minimum one income generating activity on her own.

She should not have more than three children, in case of General/ OBC category and four children in case of ST/SC/Tea Tribes/ Moran & Matak Category.

Sankalp Patra

The SHG member will have to submit a Sankalp Patra committing to restricting the number of children to two, if at present she has 0-2 children; three numbers of children, if she belongs to General/OBC category and four numbers of children, if she belongs to ST/SC/Moran/Matak/Tea Tribes community.

Education

If the SHG member has girl child(ren) of school going age, then the girl child(ren) should be admitted in a school. She will also have to sign the Sankalp Patra pledging to do the same in future.

Amrit Brikshya Andolan

The SHG member has planted the sapling during Amrit Brikshya Andolan and the sapling(s) should be surviving and growing. If not surviving,new saplings are to be planted in place of that during the time of filing up the form or before submission of the form.

Total 39,75,938 forms for Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyaan have been distributed in 35 districts of Assam
